Who we are
ProfitAxe is an early-stage project building a Shopify app that helps merchants make daily profit decisions. Contact: hello@profitaxe.com.
What we collect today (waitlist phase)
- Your email address, when you submit the waitlist form. Stored with Resend (our email provider) and used only to notify you when the product opens for beta.
- Anonymous analytics — page views and basic device info (country, browser type) via Cloudflare Web Analytics. No cookies. No cross-site tracking. No fingerprinting.
- Server logs — IP address and request metadata are briefly retained by Cloudflare for abuse prevention, then discarded.
What we'll collect at launch (when the product is live)
Once ProfitAxe opens for beta and you connect it to your Shopify store, we'll collect what's needed to generate your daily decisions:
- Shopify store data: orders, products, inventory (via the Shopify Admin API, scopes
read_orders,read_products,read_inventory,read_reports). - Ad-platform data you choose to connect: Meta Ads, Google Ads — spend, impressions, ad-to-order attribution.
- Cost-of-goods data you enter manually.
We'll publish the full production privacy policy before onboarding the first merchant. You'll see it before you connect anything.
How we use your data
- Waitlist email → one notification when the product opens for beta. Nothing else. No promotional blasts.
- Analytics → to see whether the landing page is working. Nothing is shared or sold.
Who we share with
No one, except the infrastructure providers we depend on:
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, analytics (US-based, SOC 2 compliant)
- Resend — email delivery and contact storage (US-based, SOC 2 compliant)
We do not sell data to advertisers. We do not share with any third party beyond the infrastructure above.
How long we keep your data
Your waitlist email: until you ask us to delete it, or until the product shuts down — whichever is sooner.
Your rights
You can email hello@profitaxe.com to:
- Ask what we have on you
- Correct anything wrong
- Delete your email from our waitlist
We'll respond within 7 days.
Cookies
The landing page doesn't set any cookies. No third-party trackers, no advertising pixels. If we add anything cookie-related later (for example, a logged-in session once the product launches), we'll update this page and surface it in the UI.
Children
ProfitAxe is for Shopify store owners. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll email everyone on the waitlist before the change takes effect.
